Hi. My name is Matthew. I graduated from the prestigious TEFL Academy with a level 5 certificate for teaching English. As well as being an English teacher I have had a few years of experience and a paid job, mentoring writers online. As a writing mentor I have coached writers to improve their poetry, short story, novel, and article writing skills. Also, on Cambly I am fast gaining experience in helping students to research, brainstorm, structure and edit their assignments. However I also love to talk a lot (just ask my friends!) so if you just want English conversation practise, this is another thing I can help with. Another fun fact about me: as well as being a proficient and prolific writer, I also run a channel on a well known video platform. Regarding my regular students on Cambly, it perhaps demonstrates my emotional sensitivity that many of my regulars are female. I am also strongly feminist and I am completely accepting of LGBTQIA and don't discriminate on this basis or any other basis. I have a universalist and professional outlook. Some time ago I attained some basic counselling skills. I am not a qualified counsellor but I am a good listener, so if you need to talk about your problems at the same time as learning English, it's no problem for me. Some of my students experience anxiety and depression and even cry in front of me. I also have some natural life coaching skills.
