I have lived in several different countries. I speak several languages and I understand the difficulties of learning a new language. I've travelled frequently and enjoy experiencing different cultures. An interesting thing about my life is that I've lived on a remote and isolated tropical island for over 35 years. I have many interesting stories to tell about life there! Favorite evening pastimes are reading and watching YouTube documentaries about science, travel adventure and more. Some of my hobbies include camping, trekking and observing nature, nature journaling, photography and filmmaking. I also enjoy sewing and crochet. I love to cook and discover new and tasty dishes. Gardening is another activity I’m interested in. As a matter of fact, here in Japan I plant rice! I’m also a certified Shinrin Yoku therapy guide and Life Coach. Another favorite activity of mine is talking to people. One of the most wonderful things I can think of is to have a conversation with a stranger and to learn a bit about life from their perspective. I'm looking forward to meeting many interesting students and learning about life in their part of the world! I'm looking forward to talking to YOU!

** I work best with BEGINNER to upper INTERMEDIATE ADULTS-- *** My teaching focus is best suited for beginner, intermediate and upper-intermediate students who want to improve their general English skills and become more confident in everyday conversations. I am not a test preperation tutor but I will use Cambly test prep materials with you so you can practice. On Cambly I do not tutor "specialty" classes (medical English etc). I do not have my own materials on these subjects. I tutor general English to help you improve your fluency, grammar, pronunciation and comprehension. However- I do teach all Cambly library materials! Because of past problems I do not accept downloads from students- I will use links!
