Hello!
**Group lesson students - I use my own materials for all lessons so book me for something different :)** Hello there! I am so excited to meet you! My name is Mae. I'm from New York (USA) but I currently live in Tirana, Albania. I have two children, Gabrielle and Joseph. I also have a degree in Education from Clarkson University and I have completed a 120-hour in-person TEFL certification. I have been teaching for about 17 years. My hobbies are reading, listening to podcasts, hiking, traveling, spending lots of time with family, and drinking copious amounts of ginger tea.
I am very passionate about teaching. I love seeing that little light go off when a student understands something. I also enjoy getting to know my students and follow their progress and success.

Teaching Style
My teaching style is very personal. I like to tailor my lessons to your interests and needs. I make a lot of corrections. These corrections can be pronunciation, grammar, or just teaching new words and phrases to improve your fluency. I also believe that lessons should be fun. I believe you will learn more if you are interested and invested in the lesson material. To that end, I will try my hardest to steer our conversations to topics that interest you but still allow us to explore new vocabulary or dust off those words you don't use much.
