Hello!
I am an accredited, TEFL certified English teacher and exam coach in Scotland. I have undergone advanced training in online teaching, with three years of experience teaching English. I am also an academic researcher of ancient history, and I enjoy learning about different cultures. I am approachable and empathetic and, having studied several languages, I am familiar with the learning process not only from a teaching perspective, but from the learner's perspective as well. I have lived, worked, and studied in two countries. I love books, travelling, cooking (and eating) good food, watching the world go by in cosy cafes, nature, animals, history and science. In addition to teaching English, I have degrees in ancient history (MLitt) and Celtic Studies (BA Hons). I have experience in academic writing and presentations, as well as in translation for museums and private individuals. I enjoy museums, travel, books, cosy cafes, nature, good food and learning about other cultures, science and other things.

My tutoring is adaptable, and will be tailored to your needs. I am trained in teaching grammar, vocabulary, and the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. We can take a more structured approach, using materials that suit your interests and goals, or we can practice conversation in an informal way. And of course, we can also do both!
