Hello, my name is Richard. I am from the United States of America (USA) and I was born and raised in the state of Florida. I currently live in southwest Florida. I have 7 years experience working as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Online Tutor and I have worked as a Cambly tutor since November 2021. During my time working with Cambly, I've taught 7,677 classes with 5,899 students, totaling over 3,154 hours of online instruction. I have worked with students from 67 countries including Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine. I also have TESOL and TEFL certification. When I was a university student, I researched how people learn a second language. This background knowledge and my extensive work experience give me a unique insight into the language learning process. Lessons are structured for Adult students only. There are several options you can choose when having a Cambly lesson with me. These include reading and discussing Engoo Articles, Speaking Role-Play, writing, pronunciation, grammar, sentence creation and vocabulary practice. The option chosen will be determined by your English learning goals. Other popular lesson options include interview practice, dissertation or thesis practice, Business English, Daily Conversational English and English for traveling. I use improvisation in every lesson in order to keep things interesting and fun. I sometimes use props if necessary to further assist students. For basic conversation practice, I am happy to discuss a variety of topics such as education, nature, reading, investing, cinema, acting, business, real estate, aviation, science, anime, technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), engineering, space, design, finance, medicine, history, travel, movies, law, sports, Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), marketing, music, art, video games, environment, animals, and healthcare. I listen very carefully to all students and adjust my teaching style to their English levels accordingly. I am also quick to make corrections. If I am silent during the lesson, it usually means students are making few grammatical mistakes and no corrections are necessary. Students will receive written feedback after every lesson.
