Hello!
Hello! My name is Melissa. I am from Utah. I have experience teaching children from the very young up until high school. I would be very confident working with adults as well. I enjoy games, books, some movies, and a lot of outdoor activities. My family and I like to hike and camp a lot. My husband and I have three children, a guinea pig, and a fish. I received my bachelors degree in elementary education from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I taught for 8 years in north Idaho for a private day-care facility where we worked with children from birth to pre-kindergarten. After that I did substitute teaching for classes of all ages. Then I became a teacher here in Utah for grades 5 and 6. I would be very happy to be your instructor on Cambly, and I hope to hear from you soon.
I played basketball in high school and college. I also played volleyball and softball. I like all four seasons. I also enjoy cooking. I homeschool my children right now, and I enjoy that very much.

I like to use a lot of visual aids. I also like to help my students practice what they are learning a lot. I feel like repetition helps the student to gain more practice as well as become confident in their abilities. I try to do a lot of hands on things. I realize that looks different for online learning than it does for in person learning, but I feel that it can still be done well.
