Bethany
Hello!
Hello, my name is Bethany. I was in the top 1% of USA high school graduates before attending university. I graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and minors in English and art. For the last seven years I have been a one-on-one full-service educator to unique students who needed a more individualized approach than a standard school could provide. My specialty is making learning personal and enjoyable. Knowledge is wonderful, and learning is easier when we are interested. I am a mother of three young children. One of my children had an illness that lead us to work with speech pathologists, so I have learned many skills to help those who find spoken English difficult. I love reading, talking, and making art. I look forward to meeting and connecting with people all over the world! I used to love travel when it was possible, so I am eager to encourage you to speak about your life and experiences!
I love to meet people where they are and help them succeed in their personal goals! I spent many years of my education in public speaking and dramatic performance classes, so I can be energetic and dramatic. I am also someone who enjoys being quiet; indeed my favorite hobbies are reading, sewing, embroidery, and art. I am happy to meet the gentlest and shyest of students where they are and work to gain their trust. My teaching experience has shown that each person learns in their own way, and I want to support and encourage everyone. I love the challenge of making each lesson or conversation perfect for the individual student. I can't wait to meet you! A great deal of my time is spent teaching children through Cambly Kids.

Teaching Style
I enjoy providing new vocabulary for conversation, suggesting more precise or interesting words that can help people express themselves with confidence. I enjoy offering encouragement for life and learning. I emphasize praising successes, and I want to see each of you succeed. Every student receives a written report after class: expect me to listen and praise in class, and make more general suggestions in writing after I have been able to hear your thoughts in their natural pattern.
