Hello!
As a former professor at a university, I offer an opportunity for students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and open-mindedness. Here are a few things to consider to see if we are a good match. 1. My students understand that learning a foreign language also means embracing and learning another culture, so they have a positive attitude, open mind and sincere curiosity about America and Western culture. Students who work towards warm, friendly, expressive, curious interactions will experience the most growth. 2. Language learning is inherently a social skill. Teacher-student rapport is essential. My students are happy and excited to have English class. They are eager to share and independently ask questions. My role as a teacher has to be just as rewarding for me as it is engaging and fun for students. 3. I don’t teach with your materials. As the teacher, it is important that I can assess the student, can select the coursework, and can chart the path for the student based on my teaching pedagogy and the individual needs of a student.
I have a master’s degree in English with a teaching emphasis and over 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught thousands of online English classes and at a university. My classes are for one-on-one teaching only. I do not give permission for my image to be shared in any way across other platforms.

English is not for English class. It is for the real world. My classes are laidback, easygoing and geared toward expression and inquiry. In my class, you will learn to speak and think in multiple, complete English sentences. I focus on critical thinking, grammar, pronunciation, conversation and building confidence. My students say I am professional, patient, kind, and care about their growth.
