Hello from Canada! My name is Chris and I have many years of teaching English to 1000's of students. When I retired from my school teaching position, I found that I really, really missed seeing and teaching students so I signed up for online English tutoring and I absolutely love it! I want to make your learning as fun and successful as possible so I use a lot of humour in our classes. I use a relaxed and friendly environment with my students. I believe that every student can learn so I will adjust our class to meet you where you are at so that you experience success! When working with me you will improve your conversational English and also your confidence! I can't wait to meet you!
When I taught with another ESL company, I had many booking requests and repeat students. The parents indicated that I showed the following qualities: patience, scaffolding, friendly, engaging, extension of lessons, TPR, use of props, facial expressions, vocabulary, student encouragement, error correction.

I like to think of my teaching style as one of a facilitator to your learning, rather than a lecturer. I'm a firm believer in following the lead of the student, so if you indicate to me that you would like to slow down to learn something more clearly, or maybe you'd like me to break a concept into smaller chunks, I am more than happy to facilitate that for you. I would like to increase your self confidence in the area of speaking and understanding English as I believe that is the most important part of any learning.
