Hello! My name is Jamal and I would love to teach you English. I have been a full-time ESL teacher for over 10 years, and teaching English is my passion! I love meeting students from different cultures and helping them improve their lives. In my free time, I love playing sports, visiting new places, and going out to restaurants, and I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. My favorite activity these days is playing basketball with the neighborhood kids:) If you are a new student who does not know much English, do not worry. I have taught hundreds of beginning level students who went on to become fluent English speakers. I look forward to meeting you soon!

I make my classes fun and engaging for students by using various teaching strategies. I adjust my speaking speed to match the level of the student, and I correct errors when needed. In all of my years of teaching, I have found that confidence is the single most important factor that determines how fast the student will learn English. Therefore, I focus on building my students' confidence levels throughout my lessons by encouraging them to speak, acknowledging their improvement, and motivating them to consistently practice their English.
