Hello, I'm Jan, and I'd love to be your tutor here on Cambly. I'm from the United States, and grew up in New England, then lived in California for 28 years. I've been living in Baja, Mexico for over eight years now, and absolutely love it here.
My main passion in life has been music. I love to sing, and I play several instruments, none of them expertly, but it brings me great joy. I've had varied jobs, mostly in the administrative and clerical fields, but I also owned an ethnic and tribal art gallery for a number of years.

My teaching style is informal and relaxed. I hope that every session will be enjoyable for both of us. I love to laugh, and will try to bring humor into our conversations. I know what a difficult language English is, and I'll do my best to impart some of the nuances of the language.
