Hello!
Hello, my name is Katie, and I am an experienced educator with over 14 years of classroom teaching experience, including 10 years of teaching English in an online setting. I am deeply passionate about education and value building meaningful connections with my students to support their learning and growth. Outside of teaching, I am a proud mother of two children—a son and a daughter—and have been married for 19 years. I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially camping and staying active, and I share my home with two cats and a dog. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in middle school Language Arts, as well as a Master’s degree in Special Education. In addition, I have earned an Autism Certificate, a Work-Based Learning Certificate, and hold a Director of Special Education license. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your learning in the classroom.

While teaching I like to include total physical movements. I like to get the students moving to help learn the new concept. Furthermore, I also like to include props to enhance the lesson. I am patient with students and know that learning a new language is very difficult.
