Hello, I am a friendly person, who will put you at ease and help you identify goals to work towards (*11+ Years only please* ). I am kind and patient and easy to talk to and am very happy to chat about anything that interests you. I have worked in a language school and online using Zoom. Don't be shy, I am patient and helpful and I am looking forward to meeting you. I can help with Business English, Interview Preparation, Travel English, Cultural understanding, Text analysis and many other useful areas of the language and I specialise in pronunciation, accents and dialects. I have BA in English, specialising in English Literature and linguistics so I can help you with pronunciations as well as understanding different dialects of English, For example- between American and British English...Or we can chat about Philosophy, Current affairs or Harry Potter.. Exam preparation? Job applications? I do not mind at all . Just tell me your name and we can start a conversation.

I have very broad ranging life experience and a professional background working with people within health and social care (20 years experience) I have looked after people with complex medical needs. I am patient and non judgemental, friendly and positive. I have taught English for the Bristol school in Portugal now for three years, preparing children from the age of 11+ yrs for the FCE, ( First certificate in English). I love to read and often study classic books (English Literature) with students as a great way to expand vocabulary. I enjoy discussing cultural differences, Psychology, Current affairs, and news articles. I can provide support for exam preparation including writing and IELTS FCE Speaking I now live with my husband in Portugal (and he is a Manchester United football fan.)
