Hello!
Hello and greetings! My name is Mary and I have been an ESL teacher for many years. I teach all levels and ages as well as prepare students for official exams such as the Cambridge exams, Aptis, EOL etc. I am an American and right now I am living abroad in Spain. Before becoming a teacher I was a professional musician. I have many interests, music (of course), art, literature, snooker... I am looking forward to meeting and speaking with you!
I have been an ESL teacher for about 30 years. I had my own language academy. Before I became an ESL teacher, I was a professional musician. I was a studio and live back-up singer as welll as a solo artist. My father was in the US Air Force, so we moved to a different location every 4 years or so. This helped me to learn how to adapt to new surroundings and situations quickly and created a love for finding out about new cultures. Right now I am living in Madrid, Spain.

Although I am American, I have been teaching both British and American English. My classes are always based on what the student wants, but particularly on what they need! Some people just want conversation, but I try to find themes where they will also learn new vocabulary. I use different materials to help with the listening comprehension. Even though I take my classes seriously, students usually have a good time as well. Learning another language is usually hard, so making the classes enjoyable is one of the most important things!
