Hello!
I am starting to come back onto Cambly after a break of a year due to ill health. I shall only be seeing my regulars whom I have contacted initially. But I hope to open my profile again to others soon. Originally from the UK. I am currently living in France, so I speak French too. I started my working life as a teacher in English and Physical Education many years ago. I have worked in the criminal justice system and, more recently, for the last 20 years in France, running my own business. Now semi-retired, I have time to help people learn English.
I have travelled extensively in the past to parts of Africa, India, America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and China. My missing links are South America, which I dearly wanted to do but at present has been made impossible. One day. I am widely read and I am happy to converse about any topic, including those we are told we should never touch at dinner parties: Religion, Politics and Money...I guess these days we should probably add to that list ;-) I believe in fairness and equal distribution for all, irrespective of identification, race, colour etc.

I'm open, friendly, and patient. I'm a good problem solver and will endeavour to find solutions. Happy to speak with any gender, and children over the age of 13 years, although you'll probably think I'm ancient 🤣 Which I guess I am, but only physically 🤫 What I encourage in everyone is critical thinking. Asking why is important. Children are great at it, as adults, we start to lose that impetus.
