Confident, natural English through real conversation. No judgment, just progress. I would describe myself as exuberant and passionate. The four things I care most about are people, travelling, self-mastery, and business/innovation. In 2017, after completing my Honours degree in Corporate Finance and working in corporate banking, I left to do something I had always wanted which was to teach English abroad. I spent a year in Thailand teaching and travelling across Asia, which was one of the most defining chapters of my life. Since then I have lived and worked across Canada and various parts of Asia and Africa, and that international experience shapes every conversation I bring to my lessons. I have been teaching English online for over 8 years and I specialise in conversational English and business communication. I also speak French, so if English is not your first language and you are nervous about making mistakes, you are in a safe space with me. My sessions are relaxed, practical, and tailored to your goals. Whether you want to hold confident conversations, communicate better in a professional setting, or just improve your everyday English, I would love to help you get there.
In total I have 13 years of teaching experience, dating back to one-on-one lessons in English, Maths, Business Studies and Economics that I offered to high school students in South Africa. I have also had the opportunity to mentor young students from various parts of Africa. My most recent experience includes one year of in-class teaching in Thailand to primary and high school learners, and several years of online teaching across various age groups. I specialise in English conversation and my areas of interest include travel, business English, marketing, and personal development topics such as success and self-mastery. My qualifications include TESOL, TOEIC, CELPIP and IELTS certificates.

My teaching style is casual, fun and patient. I give my students as much room as possible to express themselves freely and confidently. I instil in them the habit of always trying, making mistakes and learning from them. I encourage independent thinking and I never miss an opportunity to give praise where it is due. My lessons focus on English conversation and communication. We work through free talking and discussions built around vocabulary, articles, blogs, videos and worksheets, among other things. I am flexible and happy to adapt to your personal needs and goals.
