Hello, My name is John and I'm Australian, I've been an English Teacher in Vietnam for 5 years. I have been teaching with Cambly for 4 years, averaging over 45 countries annually. My classes are friendly and informative, with the main objective to improve the students skills and to achieve their goals. I teach both part time at an International Kindergarten School, and at an English Academy for Primary and Secondary Students. I love the experience that teaching provides which is both satisfying and enjoyable. I encourage all students to schedule an hour every day to practice English including :- Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking out loud to create a daily routine. I discovered that teaching online is a great alternate to the classroom, as it enables me to provide a personal teaching experience by offering guidance and correcting any mistakes immediately for the student. I would like to share some of my life experiences with you. I was born in country N.S.W Australia, I was elected captain of my school and also sports captain, after graduating from school I shifted with my family to a beautiful city called Adelaide. I commenced working in The Department of Environment & Planning as the information officer, and progressed to various other positions in National Parks & Wildlife Service. I discovered an opportunity to create a printing business which I called a Multi Coloured Images, in a another lovely city called Perth. I had an offer to work as a Security Officer/Instructor for BHP an Iron Ore Mining Company and progressing to an explosive operator at Dyno Nobel managing the production of ammonia nitrate. I started three other businesses and successfully sold them, and with a dream of travelling to Vietnam and teaching English. I qualified with a TEFL Certificate 5 in teaching English as a foreign language and arrived in Vietnam to secure a teaching position at an English Academy which I've been doing for 2 years and also doing some home schooling for students. I have taught part time at The Genius International kindergarten School, which was very satisfying and enjoyable, with the knowledge I was providing the foundations for the Children's Education. I enjoy Conversational English, learning about different cultures and experiences and believe I can be a valuable asset for your journey in Learning English and would appreciate the opportunity to meet you for your first lesson at Cambly. Hello, My Teaching style varies, it essentially is clear & concise and leaves time for questions and discussion to increase student motivation which will improve communication. I encourage students to set meaning full goals when their listening, speaking, writing and reading English. I endeavour to provide positive interesting outcomes for Conversational English Lessons. Consequently it empowers students to realise their potential and highlights their progress to encourage and take an active interest when learning English. I look forward to seeing you online.
