Hello! I’m from London, UK, and I’m here to support you in developing your conversational skills, as well as your listening and reading abilities. I can help you improve your grammar, prepare for the IELTS, get ready for job interviews, or simply have a friendly chat. I enjoy discussing topics such as politics, economics, travel, history, and global affairs. I always research and prepare thoroughly for our lessons. I come from a Greek Cypriot family and have had a long career in retail management. More recently, I’ve spent time running a business in the antiques sector. I have a deep passion for culture, history, and architecture. Over the past three years, I’ve been traveling full-time with my fiancée, Jenn, whom I met through the poetry community on Instagram. She lived in Canada, and I moved there in 2019. We lived together for 18 months before deciding to travel. Since then, we’ve spent 6 months in Mexico, 6 months in Georgia, and 3 months in Türkiye, and in 2023, we traveled to 12 countries in Asia! In total, we have visited 41 countries and are currently embracing a digital nomad lifestyle and a spiritual journey that we are truly enjoying. I continue to write poetry as a published author, but my main focus now is on our travel blog at closerlives.com, where we document our adventures and help others realize their travel dreams. Social media completely changed my life. Not only have I shared my poetry and stories, but I also met my fiancée there! We first met in February 2019 and have since traveled the world, and have currently been to 45 countries! We are excited to build our careers as influencers, travelers, bloggers, and YouTubers. I'm also thrilled to be part of this learning community and can't wait to share my experiences and passion for English to help others grow! I am a published author with a strong following on Instagram. My book, "Out of the Shadows," is a collection of freestyle creative poetry. It's an autobiographical journey of a boy who believed in love and a man who faced his darkest moments during heartbreak. The book spans over 15 years of my personal thoughts, with 287 pages across 7 chapters, taking you from 'darkness to light.' My goal is to inspire, support, and encourage others. A little more about me: I grew up in a tough part of London until I found my career in retail. I spent a decade in management and, more recently, ran a reclamation and antiques business for 3 years. I love history, traveling, long walks, and spontaneous road trips (I love driving). I'm also passionate about politics, enjoy a good debate, and love philosophical discussions or learning new things. I'm fascinated by space and the universe, too, and I also really enjoy talking about aliens, myths, and legends! Thank you so much for reading.
