Serena
Hello!
Hello, my name is Serena! Thanks so much for stopping by! I am from London, UK. I am a TEFL qualified English Teacher and I have been teaching English online since 2021. I love to travel (I have visited many countries) and learn about different cultures. I am also interested in history, foods, music, reading (Jane Austen!!), arts and crafts (for example knitting, clay crafts and card making). I also like to spend time in nature taking walks and admiring beautiful scenery and wildlife and foraging for wild food which is such fun! I would just love to help you on your English learning journey! I can help you with conversation practice, English for daily life, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, intonation, IELTS / exam preparation, Business English, Travel English, interview preparation / practice, listening, reading and writing practice as well as help you learn more about British culture and history. Just let me know! I look forward to meeting you soon so give me a call! :-))
I was born in Kettering, UK, and raised in the small market town of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, UK. I have also lived in Milton Keynes and I currently live in South London. My family heritage is from the Caribbean (mum is from Jamaica and dad's family are from Barbados which is another Caribbean island). I love arts and crafts (at the moment I am knitting scarves!) reading, and learning languages! I speak French (Fluent) and I am learning Lingala (the language of Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo) and Spanish. I also love travelling, visiting historical places of interest and spending time in nature. I enjoy learning about different parts of the world and different cultures, music and food.

Teaching Style
I am patient, kind, friendly and welcoming in my manner of teaching and I always go at the pace of my students. I speak clearly and encourage my students to speak and express themselves in English as much as possible on a wide variety of topics and I also encourage them to ask questions on anything they would like to know more about the English language, such as grammar, vocabulary pronunciation and culture. I am flexible and I am happy to help my students with their language goals. I want all of my students to enjoy their English lessons!
