Thankyou for selecting my profile. Here is a little bit about me. I have been working in childcare and education for over 20 years in a variety of roles ranging from nursery school manager, childminder, nanny, boarding school matron, travelling holiday nanny and English tutor. I owned 2 nursery schools in England for over 10 years, which were both rated Outstanding by Ofsted the UK governing body. I have a wealth of knowledge about running a business, including accounts, marketing, planning, meetings, training, recruitment, negotiations etc. Prior to my career in education I worked in the financial sector including Banking, Invoice finance, Debt collection, Foreign Exchange. I have been fortunate to have travelled to many places worldwide including Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Spain and Israel. Now that I am based in Turkey I can speak very, very basic Turkish and am currently trying to improve on this. I am very clearly spoken, calm and patient when communicating with all ages. So, don`t be shy, let me help you learn and improve your English language.
I enjoy walking, exploring new places, travelling and learning new cultures, keeping fit and healthy, spending time with family and friends, reading, watching TV, quizzes, crosswords and during Covid I took an online course about proof reading. I am based in Turkey and enjoy working remotely from home.

Teaching Style
I adapt my teaching style in order to cater for everyone`s needs and ensure the lessons are as interesting as possible and FUN! I select lesson plans or news articles based on the students interests and level or I am just as happy to have a free conversation about different topics. I will correct any student mistakes regarding pronounciation or grammar as I hear them and confirm with typing words in the chat box to be reviewed by the student after class. I will also make suggestions to make the student sound more fluent as if they are a native speaker. I enjoy talking about different idioms and learning about synonyms and antonyms.
