Hello!
I am TESOL certified and have tutored on Cambly for 4 years. I also worked as a volunteer tutor for 2 years at a Community Adult Learning Centre to help ESL students improve their English speaking skills. These students were from various countries in the world, aiming to improve their English skills in order to adapt to life in the UK. I tutored small groups as well as individual students. (PLEASE NOTE, I only take reservations of 30minutes or above).
I am a work from home mum, currently living in the Irish Republic and have been tutoring on Cambly for 5 years. I am a native English speaker who grew up in the North East of England, were I worked for more than 10 years within the customer relations and administrative sector in both private and government organisations. I enjoy yoga, travel and life's little adventures. I spent 5 years in Copenhagen Denmark as well as a few years in Pakistan as a teenager. I also completed a work internship in the USA as part of my studies. I am intrigued by the world and thoroughly enjoy interacting with people from different countries and cultural back grounds. Most of all, I like to help students build confidence in order to succeed and reach their individual English learning goals. (PLEASE NOTE, I only take reservations of 30minutes or above).

Teaching Style
My tutoring style is patient and relaxed. In the first lesson, I like to assess my student's needs via friendly conversation and to give constructive feedback. I then like to find enjoyable and interesting ways to help students improve, such as through Engoo learning articles. I cover Business related Professional Development courses available within the Cambly library. I can help with correct pronunciation and mock job interviews. We can also work on English idioms, phrasal verbs and proverbs during sessions . (I can speak Urdu/Hindi, some general Danish and these days, I am learning French. Learning other languages gives me a better understanding when it comes to the various issues English learners often encounter.
