Hello!

I've worked as an English teacher in Japan and can help with practicing conversational and academic English. We can practice things such as conversation, grammar, pronunciation, phonics, and etc. I'm open to using any materials you would like to use (if you want to use Cambly's materials, please tell me the title and slide number). I'm very patient, encouraging, and flexible. I type fast as well, so if you need me to type corrections or examples for you, I'm more than happy to do so.

I really like to watch Anime, Disney movies, and various films and dramas. My favorite animes are Fullmetal Alchemist (鋼の錬金術師), Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人), Dragon Ball, Fairytail, and Death Note. My favorite Disney movies are Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Some of my favorite actors are Jackie Chan (成龍), Eddie Redmayne, and Keita Machida (町田 啓太). I also really like listening to various types of music. My favorite rock bands are Evanescence, Linkin Park, and Skid Row. My favorite K-Pop groups and singers are Big Bang, 2NE1, MAMAMOO, SHINee, and Rain. My favorite Asian rappers are VannDa (Cambodia), Jay Park (Korea), Chanmina (Japan), and Awich (Japan). I used to play the marimba in high school, but I'm probably rusty now. I also like to watch the news and stay informed on a number of political or social issues. I also like to crochet and make stuffed toys (amigurumi). In the past, I studied at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and majored in Psychology and minored in Asian studies. I enjoy discussing topics related to these subjects. During university, I had the chance to study abroad in South Korea (Yonsei University) and Japan (Temple University, Japan Campus). These study abroad experiences were life-changing and opened many doors for me and my future. I lived in Japan from 2022 to 2026 and worked as an English teacher. I have a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and enjoy talking about Japan-related topics.
