Hello!
Hello Students and Parents, It is so lovely to meet you. I am Debbie Jane, I am a Native English Speaker from the United Kingdom but I am currently living in Spain. I am patient and positive. I believe that if you believe in yourself you are already halfway to your goal. Respect, manners and honesty are essential when learning and if you give 100% so will I to enable you to reach your ambition. I work with students of all ages, children and adults of all levels and abilities. Each lesson is to cater to their competency with the latest resources, worksheets and techniques. I promise to help make your learning experience at Cambly enjoyable for your child and you. I love to see the children improve, develop a good understanding of the English language but also grow in confidence. Assisting and enabling to expand their vocabulary. Every student is unique and I constantly adapt, adjust expand and condense lessons where necessary. During my lessons I will sometimes make notes as well as evaluate your improvement. My goal is to help you enjoy your English Journey. I encourage parents to join in with their child's studies while they grow in confidence. Whether you are just beginning and starting to read and write or you can speak fluently and just need assistance with studying. Then I hope you will embrace my help. With the use of TPR, reward systems I am able to let the students how well they are doing. I use props, AV filters puppets, books and flash cards. I have a colorful class that is a calm and relaxed environment to study in and sometimes my kittens come in to visit.
When I am not teaching you will usually find me with my foster kitties, we have 6 at the moment and 4 dogs, I also scuba dive, I adore the water whether it be the ocean or the pool I used to surf and kayak but I don't get much time at the moment to enjoy these past times, I like to explore new places and countries, I enjoy learning about new cultures, as well as seeing the countries through the students perspective. Furthermore I love to read to immerse myself, it can be fantasy, horror or learning I enjoy most books, at the moment I am studying Spanish so I can understand the problems when learning a second language. I sew, garden and listen to music to relax. But I am always keen to hear about your hobbies, traditions, what your favorite foods are, the music or television programs you watch, your traditions and how you view the world.

I have a very friendly and patient approach to teaching. I like to encourage my students to gain the confidence and have fun during their journey. I try to use various techniques as I understand not everyone is the same and you could respond better to listening and verbalizing or breaking down the word. Learning keywords and phrases, respond well to visualising the idea or topic, with the use of pictures or mindmaps, as well as organising tour thoughts by note taking or looking at PowerPoint. My aim is to find out what are your needs and what you want to learn, so that I can tailor your lessons just for you. As you progress, I enjoy introducing critical thinking as it challenges you to respond. I will vary the lessons accordingly using various materials such as news articles, worksheets comprehensions role play scenarios, props flashcards. I love each lesson to be fun and creative. I really hope to see you soon in my classes, as we will become a great team and have fun along the way.
