Hello! My name is John and I come from Scotland, UK. I am an experienced TEFL teacher who has worked with diverse learners. My background includes planning and delivering lessons to children. In my class, I talk about a variety of topics, and my classes are always fun and respectful. Most importantly, I focus on helping students achieve their goals. Furthermore, I make sure that students feel heard and understood. I teach in a manner that encourages them to speak without the fear of making mistakes. I use the direct method 'natural method' to immerse the learner in the same manner as when a first language is learnt. All teaching is done in the target language, grammar is taught inductively, there is a focus on speaking and listening, and only useful ‘everyday' language is taught. The emphasis is on developing the students' core skills of writing, reading, listening and speaking. The target language (English) will be used for all class instructions, including the use of visual aids, realia and total physical response to illustrate meaning.
