Hello!

Hi, There! My name is Nicole (Pronounced Nik-Cole -the "e" is silent). I am a Native New Yorker. However, some say I don't sound like I'm from New York! :0) I am a public speaker. I've served as a public speaker for many years, in various industries. Too numerous to name. Therefore, I believe I am able to help children, teens and adults who are willing and committed to the process of learning English over time, not over night. :o) I am open to teach anyone who is interested. However, I would much prefer to teach a student who is not camera shy and has their camera on, because it allows both student & tutor to have a comfortable and more effective tutoring experience.

Teaching Style

I am able to teach all of the lessons that Cambly offers. And what I do not know I am willing to learn. We can also enjoy the adventure of learning it together. My teaching style is conversational and easy. I am very engaging and curious! I ask lots of questions to get to kow you better. Again, I prefer to teach a student who has their camera on because it allows both student & tutor to have a comfortable and more effective tutoring experience. If you must have your camera off, it may be better to select a different tutor. ( I will not be offended if you choose someone else.) :) I also use phonetic style learning. When teaching students, I will write out a word phonetically (which means the way it sounds). That method helps students to read it similar to how it sounds, in order to become more proficient at saying it. Thus, improving your ability to learn it. It makes it easier to learn it before you can spell the word correctly. Spelling will come later. Besides that's what the dictionary is for. "Yay" for the dictionary.
