Hello!

Welcome, Parents, Hello, I’m Michelle, a dedicated English teacher with over 7 years of experience supporting children in developing strong, confident communication skills in English. I previously taught with Whales English, a premium international platform recognized for its structured curriculum and high academic standards for young learners. My teaching approach combines clear academic foundations with a warm, supportive learning environment. Lessons focus on essential language skills—grammar, pronunciation, reading, and natural spoken English—while using engaging activities and gentle game-based motivation to help children stay focused and enjoy the learning process. I understand that every child learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each student’s level and pace, encouraging curiosity, participation, and steady progress. I also speak Turkish, which allows me to support learners when needed and helps children feel more comfortable as they build confidence in English. My goal is not only to improve language ability, but to nurture confidence, independence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning. I look forward to supporting your child’s English journey.

About Me Hi, I’m Michelle — your child’s biggest cheerleader in English learning! I absolutely love teaching, but I also love laughing, celebrating small wins, and turning “Oh no, grammar!” into “Oh wow, I did it!” moments. Seeing children grow in confidence (especially when they start speaking naturally without even thinking about it) is my favourite part of the job. I’m naturally patient and positive — I don’t believe in scary classrooms or pressure. I believe in encouragement, high-fives (virtual ones too!), and helping children feel safe enough to try. Mistakes? We welcome them. That’s where the magic happens. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about healthy living and wellbeing. I enjoy learning about nutrition, staying active, and always improving myself — I think when we feel strong and balanced, we show up better in everything we do. I also enjoy structure (I do love a good plan!) but I balance it with creativity and fun. I dislike negativity and giving up too quickly — I’m very much a “let’s try again” kind of person. I believe every child can succeed with the right support and encouragement. I also speak Turkish, which is helpful for supporting families and making sure everyone feels comfortable and understood. In short? I take learning seriously… but I don’t take myself too seriously. 😊 And that’s exactly how I like my classroom to feel — focused, fun, and full of confidence.

Teaching Style

My Teaching Style My teaching style is structured, supportive, and full of positive energy. I believe children learn best when lessons are clear and organised — so every class has a goal, a plan, and measurable progress. At the same time, I keep lessons interactive and engaging with games & speaking challenges that motivate children to participate confidently. I focus strongly on: Clear pronunciation Natural, real-life speech Strong grammar foundations Confident reading skills I gently correct mistakes in a way that builds confidence rather than fear. I don’t believe in pressure-based learning — I believe in encouragement, repetition, and celebrating progress. My classroom is a safe space where children feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and trying again. I aim to help students not only understand English but use it naturally and independently. Because I previously taught with Whales English, I bring a high academic standard to my lessons while keeping them warm and personal. Above all, I teach the whole child — not just the subject. Confidence first, progress second, success always.
