Hello, my name is Lisa! Welcome, to my profile and I hope you will have a great time in my class! In my class we will have interesting topics to talk about. Never boring! I will challenge you with critical thinking questions so that you will have an opportunity to express your thoughts. You will forget about being nervous and stressing about your mistakes while you are speaking! I have been an English tutor for twelve years to young students and adults. I coach my students to speak English confidently with variety of methods. I provide encouragement and build their self esteem. So that each student will have a wonderful learning experience until they reach their goal. I never thought teaching was something I would enjoy as a hobby. As time progress, I found teaching and coaching very rewarding and fulfilling. My objective is to have my students speak English fluently. To enlighten their curiosity with interesting topics. At the same time broaden their sense of humor while speaking English. Having fun in a warm and nurturing learning environment students tend to learn in a faster pace. This is my method of teaching my students and it works! For me the most important goal of being a tutor/teacher is to make a difference in someone’s life. For the most part learning a new language is very difficult and very challenging. With a right mindset the sky is the limit. In hopes my student will gain self esteem and confidence. I love teaching English! I like to break language barriers. I also enjoy traveling to different countries and learning different cultures. I enjoy history and I'm a big fan of art. I love cooking and reading. Creating delicious nutritious meals and crafting new recipes is my all time favorite hobby! I like to be challenged with new ideas. I have a positive mindset! I like to be informative and knowledgeable with current events. I enjoy reading about business and the economy. Best of all I love spending time with friends and family as much as I can. Plus, I have a great sense of humor. I enjoy sharing comical experiences with my students. Making connections and creating learning experiences😊

My teaching style is to bring great conversation. In general, everyone is busy with their daily life. We never have an opportunity to sit down and just to have a great conversation with friends and family. And this where I begin my journey with my student. A learning experience! I want my student to speak more to build their confidence. I tend to select topics about current events to challenge my student's cognitive and critical thinking. An opportunity for them to express their perspective and their opinion. I call it my workshop! In my previous classes, I tend to encourage students to ask questions before I end the class. I always believe a great conversation is the best method to develop friendships and connections. It is also the best way to entice the student's interest. To lose the awkwardness engaging in English conversation. This gives the student a leverage of confidence where he or she may participate in class without feeling incompetent. My goal for my class is to bring a great learning experience and a warm connection for my student.
