Hello!

Teaching English is my profession. When I teach English, I focus on vocabulary and grammar: Questions about grammar and vocabulary are welcome. Pronunciation is not my specialty. I strongly prefer 30-minute lessons, especially for our first meeting. I enjoy working with intermediate and advanced-level students. I teach older teenagers and adults; I do not teach children ages 4-15. I have been a teacher for many years. I have taught both English and history. American history is my forte, and I am happy to discuss this topic with students.

Working out, walking, movies, languages, current events, fast-food restaurants, coffee shops, documentaries, foreign countries, history, politics, pizza

Specialties

Teaching Style

Our first meeting is usually a general conversation, and you are welcome to tell me about your goals for learning English. Our subsequent lessons are more focused. These lessons are based around practical grammar or discussion of a certain topic. Another kind of lesson is discussion of a news article. We can also do lessons from the Cambly Library. I ask my students to try to speak in sentences—not in words or phrases.
