Hi, I'm Jess. I've lived in the US, England, Australia, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Germany. Each move meant learning a different city, unfamiliar habits, and usually another language, so I know what it's like to be the person still figuring out how everything works. Outside of teaching, I paint, write, read, and cook. I'm curious about almost everything, so our conversations could go anywhere, and that's usually where the best ones end up. I'd love to meet you and hear your story.
I'm a painter and writer. Alongside my art practice, I've been teaching English for ten years and am TEFL certified, so helping people communicate in English has been a significant part of my life for a long time. I enjoy conversations that are thoughtful, curious, and unhurried, and I love learning from the people I meet.

I believe the best way to improve your English is by using it naturally. My lessons are relaxed, conversation-based, and adapted to your interests, goals, and personality. Whether you want to improve your fluency, expand your vocabulary, prepare for travel, discuss current events, or simply become more confident speaking English, I'll help you communicate more naturally. I enjoy genuine conversations rather than following a rigid script. We might talk about culture, food, books, work, travel, history, art, or whatever you're genuinely interested in. Along the way, I'll gently correct mistakes, introduce more natural expressions, and help you sound more like a native speaker without interrupting the flow of the conversation. Please note: I currently teach intermediate to advanced students (B1 and above). I also enjoy teaching older children who already have a solid foundation in English. At this time, I do not teach children under 10 years old, but I'm always happy to recommend other wonderful Cambly tutors who specialize in younger learners.
