Nathan
Hello!
With eight years of experience as a Performing Arts Technical Instructor at Beacon Academy in the UK, combined with my current role as an ESL teacher in Asia, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and educational passion to the classroom. My background includes providing hands-on support across all performing arts disciplines, from classroom instruction to live performances, examinations, and full-scale productions. I specialise in technical production, including lighting design, sound system operation, and studio recording, with proficiency in industry-standard software like Cubase, Sibelius, and Logic Pro. Beyond equipment setup and maintenance, I’ve guided students in music sequencing, digital effects, and live mixing, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration between music, drama, and dance departments. My goal is to merge technical precision with creative education, empowering students to bring their artistic visions to life
Travel, music, and creativity have always been central to my life. I’m deeply passionate about East Asian culture—especially its cuisine—and over the past two years, I’ve explored Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and China, immersing myself in their vibrant traditions. Music has been my lifelong companion. I started playing drums at 14, and at university, I discovered my love for singing and songwriting, eventually forming the band For Marla and performing across the UK. Now, I channel that energy into my current band, Glush, where I continue to drum and collaborate with fellow musicians.
