Hello!
My career started off in Business working for Siemens South Africa. Moving to Germany in 1991 we worked for Encyclopaedia Britannica. While living in Germany, I tutored English to German learners, students and adults ( English grammar and Business English). Returning to South Africa in 2007, I completed my PGCE ( Accounting and Economics) and B Ed(honours in Curriculum Studies). I tutored first year students in English for Academic Purposes before joining a support unit at the Free State University where we provided curriculum, teaching strategies and use of technology support to educators and learners. This was for seven years, immigrating to the UK in June 2019.
I love .. getting to know the world and helping people. Reading and researching excites me and allows me to grow. I am a real chatter box , so I do conversations. Cooking and trying out new recipes : what an amazing time to get to know people and to entertain. I love walking, swimming, playing tennis and my new found love of racket ball! One (or should I say two)of my memorable life experiences was the births of my two beautiful daughters and being blessed to be their mother... I believe that life is what you put in: see it colourful and beautiful, then it will be colourful and beautiful...
