Hello!

I worked for 25 years in the United States healthcare system as a Respiratory Therapist. Starting out as a staff therapist and ending my career in upper level management. After retiring I moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where I began a new career teaching English as a Second Language. While living in Southeast Asia, I taught in private schools, language centers and universities, as well as in hospitals, hotels and restaurants. 2020 found me moving to Albania, retired and happily traveling around Europe. Cambly allows me to 'travel' to other countries where I meet wonderful people from all over this magnificent planet. Over these years of teaching English, I have taught and tutored Western medical terminology (Latin/Greek based) to medical professionals and students, various conversation, reading, and listening skills courses, Basic English for Hospitality and Tourism, English with Movies, and American English Phonics and Elocution. Throughout all the years of my life, I also have been employed as an actress and director, dialect/accent coach, stage manager, singer, and theatrical set designer. I DO NOT TEACH CHILDREN OR BEGINNING SPEAKERS. INTERMEDIATE LEVEL AND ABOVE ONLY, PLEASE.

I am an ardent traveler. I want to experience new cultures, eat new foods, and I love to meet and share with people from across the world. I believe that world travel is one of the ways that lead to Peace. As Mark Twain said, "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness." I have a wide variety of interests and hobbies including cooking (and eating!), alternative and complimentary medicine, the arts, sustainable and regenerative gardening and living, vermiculture (look it up!), renewable energy, dogs, meditation and metaphysical practices, ancient history, UFOs. . .I'm interested in all aspects of Life!
