Personally I would describe my teaching style as a mix of humanistic ‘TPR’ and communicative ‘CLT’ From my perspective each class can be very different to the next and the same for students, each and every student has their own personal goals in terms of their language development, so it’s important for me to tailor my lessons based on what my student’s requirements are, by ensuring my classes suit their individual needs. I use task based materials, covering, speaking, listening, reading and writing along with general discussions on any topic and prepare many students for English exams. I like to check my student’s comprehension by asking CCQ’s to ensure their understanding using examples and explanations. I teach all levels from A1-C1 to both adults and children always providing corrective feedback, expanding and defining vocabulary using encouragement and confidence building.
