Hi! I’m Claire, an English tutor from Cape Town, South Africa. I specialise in conversational English for adults and focus on helping you speak more confidently and naturally in real-life situations. My lessons are relaxed, practical, and can be tailored to your goals

I’m a TEFL/TESOL-certified English tutor with around five years of teaching experience. My teaching style is student-centred and communicative, meaning lessons are adapted to your level, goals, and learning style rather than following a fixed script. I specialise in conversational English and confidence-building, especially for adults who want to speak more naturally and comfortably. I also create and use my own custom ESL lesson materials, including discussion topics, reading exercises, and spontaneous speaking activities. This allows me to personalise each lesson and keep sessions engaging, practical, and relevant to you. I believe learning English should feel relaxed, enjoyable, and supportive — mistakes are welcome and part of the process!
