Darlene
Hello!
I am a qualified Social Scientist with over 19 years of experience supporting children and adults from diverse cultural and non-English-speaking backgrounds (NESB). My work has included teaching a Diploma of Community Services to adult learners from NESB communities, as well as teaching English to primary school students in Cambodia. I have also worked extensively in remote Aboriginal communities across Australia. I offer English language support tailored to your goals, whether that’s exam or interview preparation, business English, or English for the community services sector. In addition to my teaching and social work background, I am professionally trained to work with children and families experiencing mental health challenges and am currently undertaking postgraduate studies in trauma-informed therapy. I offer individually tailored lesson plans to help you meet your personal learning goals.
I am passionate about community, humanitarian issues, animal welfare, and personal development. I love travelling and immersing myself in different cultures. Life is a gift, and we should all make the most of it!
