Hi, I'm Lauren - Thanks for checking out my profile! I have more than twelve years of teaching experience with students in grade K-12.  However, for the the last six years  I have been teaching English to adult learners around the world - students from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Brazil and beyond.  I know what it takes to build real confidence in a second language, because I've watched thousands of students do it — in business meetings, job interviews, and everyday conversations that once felt intimidating. I regularly work with American students and also run a small business. Most of my work experience has been with government agencies and non profit organizations. Travel is a huge passion. I have visited: West and South Africa, Europe, Central America, Canada and the Caribbean. I enjoy discussing a very wide range of topics. I'm a huge animal lover and have many rescue cats, birds and oppossums that I care for on my property. I enjoy developing educational content for children that is related to reading and learning English as a second language.
