Hello!
Teaching on Cambly is awesome because of all the wonderful students I meet who truly want to learn English.
I enjoy reading, exercising, kayaking, travelling, and learning Spanish. I am a social worker (MSW) and volunteer my time helping adults in crisis. When I moved to Mexico, I started a non-profit charity where we helped poor children and families move forward in their lives. I have travelled parts of Canada, the US, and Central and South America.

Teaching Style
I’ve been teaching English online with Cambly to students all over the world since 2019. The students I prefer to teach are anywhere from intermediate to advanced levels. Since I’ve no idea what level you will be, I’ve amassed a ton of material to have at my fingertips for almost every situation. Some students want conversation or like to read articles for new vocabulary and pronunciation, while others want grammar lessons or help with the speaking part of IELTS. It’s important for me that you leave the lesson having been taught something new, such as new vocabulary or everyday expressions, and ways to say things that would sound "natural" to the native speaker's ear or even a tip, such as how to pronounce verbs that end in ‘ed’. At the beginning of a lesson with a new student, I will ask if you’d like your English corrected and how often. I will do my best to encourage you throughout the lesson and use the last minute of the class to give positive feedback. When the class is over, I follow up with a positive private message, individualized to each of you.
