I come from beautiful Vancouver, Canada and was always involved in so many activities and hobbies there including: photography, Art, travel, Pop culture, reading, movies, music, dogs, massage and healing, art gallery volunteering, mountain-biking, skiing, and cooking. I lived in Paris, France for a year and have travelled all over Europe. Then I settled in Prague, Czech Republic where I worked as an English Communication Assistant for a private art gallery. Finally I started my ESL teaching career in Prague, teaching ESL for all ages and capacities for almost 20 years! Now I am living in Sweden, have been teaching online English for the last 7 years, and enjoy gardening, hiking, mushroom-picking. Most recently I have started learning to play bass guitar! Music is a big passion of mine, and I love to see live shows. I am very interested in learning all about cultures from different parts of the world and love cultural / language exchanges!

Learning is a lifelong activity for most of us. When we want to learn–be it at school, at work, from books, or from a website on the internet, besides a student there always has to be a teacher. But, I describe my teaching style as 'coaching'. My methodology is the 'Communicative Approach' to language learning. This means that I encourage my students to speak as much as possible! It doesn't matter what level you are at. It is relaxed, fun and friendly! Like having a chat at a cafe! The topics for conversation can be whatever you like. From guided discussion on a specific topic, or from a reading assignment to any specific needs you may have. It can also be as simple as free talk to keep up the language skills you already have. It is up to you, and I am here to help you practice, learn new words and expressions, correct your pronunciation and grammar during class, if needed. I regard each of my students as unique, with their own ESL needs, and I am constantly open and attentive to your feedback. Most important for me, is that YOU gain more and more CONFIDENCE in using your English in real, everyday conversation situations. I am here for you! Let's get started! 🔥
