Hello!
Hi, I’m Kay! I’m passionate about the English Language and have been an ESL teacher since 2012. I have a relaxed and friendly teaching style and teach beginner to advanced adult students. My specialisation is IELTS coaching as well as building confidence in nervous students. I would love to help you achieve your language goals, so please pop me a message or book a lesson. Please note: that should you book a lesson for a child, I will sadly have to decline the lesson or end the lesson as I only teach adults.
I am an outdoor orientated person, I live in the countryside. I love nothing more than spending time hiking, riding horses or my motorcycle, having coffee and reading under a gorgeous tree. I love learning about people and cultures and have travelled across Southern Africa. I love experiencing new people, food, animals, ecosystems and languages. I also have a passion for History, particularly the second world war, I am a bit of a History Nerd.

Teaching Style
My teaching style is flexible and relaxed, I am patient and will adapt my teaching style to suite my students. My focus is to allow the student as much room to speak in class as possible. I have a large library of learning materials to share with my students to help them advance their skills in the English Language. I also offer in class corrections for both Grammar and Pronunciation, I do this in a subtle, calm way so as not to make my students feel criticised or self-conscious. My aim is to help my students reach their goals!
