Teaching Experience: I worked for 5 years as a Support for Learning Assistant at a secondary school in Scotland, where my job included helping foreign students adjust to learning in English, and also helping UK students with learning difficulties. I completed a short course in teaching English as a foreign language before coming to live in Portugal, and have taken opportunities to help teach English informally here to both teenagers and adults.
Interests: My interests include horses and horse-riding, dogs and dog training, yoga and meditation, walking and the countryside, health and nutrition, cinema and music, English literature.
Education: I went to school in Surrey near London, and then took a degree in sociology at the University of Liverpool. Later I went on to qualify as a homoeopath, which has given me plenty of experience with listening to people and working with them one to one.
Spoken Languages: English (Native), Portuguese (Conversational), French (Basic)
