Teaching Experience: I have taught English in several different capacities. Earlier this year, I taught a nine-week Intermediate English course to native Spanish speakers through an organization called Cascade of Hope. I also provided English tutoring services for a Burmese refugee family of four from February to July of this year under the direction of a refugee organization called Project Worthmore. Now, I teach English to Burmese migrant families in Chiang Mai Thailand through an organization called Partners Relief and Development.
Interests: I am interested in travel and culture (food, cultural nuances, funny travel stories, etc). I have traveled relatively extensively the past few years and love to ask people about the various places they've visited and things they've experienced.
I am also interested in people and their passions. I love discovering what motivates people, what they live for, and what makes them unique and quirky.
I also love a good conversation about social justice or politics.
Education: I graduated from The University of Texas in Austin Texas in 2010 with a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology. I also did 30 credits of coursework towards a Masters degree in Counseling.
Spoken Languages: English (Native)
