Hello! My name is Ashley and it's so nice to meet you! I'm 31 years old and have been teaching English for over 10 years, 8 of which have been dedicated to English as a Second Language. I currently live and teach in Japan, which gives me a unique insight into the challenges and joys of language learning! My lessons are warm, fun, and tailored to your individual needs and goals. I'm originally from New York City 🗽 and currently living the adventure of a lifetime in Tokyo, Japan! Living abroad has given me a deep appreciation for language learning and the courage it takes to communicate in a new language, which makes me a more empathetic and patient teacher. Outside of teaching I'm a creative soul at heart, I love reading, writing, drawing, cooking, and gaming! I try to challenge myself with a new recipe every week, and when I'm not in the kitchen you'll probably find me exploring new worlds in my favorite games. Minecraft holds a special place in my heart, which is why I've made it a core part of how I teach English to young learners. I believe learning should be joyful, creative, and personal. Whether we're having a conversation, exploring grammar, or adventuring through Minecraft together, I bring my whole enthusiastic self to every lesson!

My teaching style is warm, playful, and creative, designed to make every student feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn! I specialize in teaching young learners and believe that children learn best when they're genuinely having fun. My signature approach uses Minecraft as an interactive classroom, students explore, build, craft, and go on adventures while naturally absorbing English vocabulary, grammar, and conversation skills without it ever feeling like studying. Every lesson is tailored to your child's individual level, pace, and interests. Whether we're learning new words, practicing pronunciation, working on grammar, or having natural conversations, I make sure every minute is engaging and enjoyable.
