Hi there, my name is Lisa. I live in England and am a native speaker. I hope to offer you a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to learn in. We can work together on general conversation, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I have 120 hour TEFL certificate, which allows me to teach English to students from all over the world. Hopefully, our chats will help you gain a better understanding of the English language. I have a BA Honours in fashion design. My job took me all over the world, and I would often find myself giving English lessons to the crew I worked with. I have a small online business which I have run for many years, selling clothing, leather products and textiles. Sometimes importing from India and China. After the completion of my BA Hons degree, I moved to London to work as a clothing designer. My job offered a lot of overseas travel. This was the beginning of my worldly education. I worked in a lot of different countries, communicating with fabric technicians, pattern cutters, and QC. I often found myself helping people with their English language skills. I learned a lot about our beautiful planet and its people, different cultures, traditions, and history. My love for travel grew,and I went on to travel Asia, America, India, and Africa several times. Often I found myself in situations where I couldn't speak the native language and the locals couldn't speak English either, I learned lots of ways of communicating. People like to connect on lots of levels and a heart felt smile goes such a long way, learning a few key words can really transform your experience. I've even used a stick to draw in the sand. In India I worked in an orphanage supporting homeless children. In America I became a stewardess sailing around the south of Florida and The Keys. I made Turkey my home for 6 years living in a muslin community. I learned a lot about the kindness of the Turkish people. For me life is a journey. Never stop learning and sharing.

I am passionate about helping people. If you have basic knowledge of the language, are a beginner or intermediate level I can help you progress. I prefer not to teach advanced English classes and am not a grammar expert. Learning a new language is very exciting, but can be a daunting task. I like to offer a safe space to chat.
