Hi, My name is Hope and I am living in Iceland but was born in the United States. I grew up in Southeast Asia and have taught ESL students from all over the world for more than 25 years. I focus on pronunciation, conversational English and improving Business English while delving into current events, daily activities, and preparing students to be successful and confident in speaking in a variety of settings. My goal is to work with you in developing your confidence and expertise in speaking English.
I live in Iceland, speak Icelandic and have two children and two grand children who live near me. In my spare time I ride horses, enjoy biking, walking, reading, and listening to all kinds of music. I grew up in Thailand and graduated from the International School of Bangkok. I have taught ESL students worldwide for over 25 years.

I have an assortment of visual imagery I use, current events and material compiled from my Google classroom that I am able to share for practice in class and at home. I usually work on pronunciation, focusing on a particular topic or theme for each class and going through exercises together so that you feel confident.
