I am bilingual and speak fluent Spanish. I spent many years living in the Dominican Republic, the birthplace of my parents, exploring different regions of the island nation from the Caribbean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, through all kinds of mountains, hills, and valleys. Prior to teaching online, I worked for 23 years as a manufacturing and quality engineer, writing technical instructions to provide training for manufacturing personnel. I am a certified TESOL/TEFL teacher, and I have been teaching English online to students from Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia for many years. I have also been homeschooling my children, grades K-12, for more than 20 years in various subjects, including English language arts, math, science, and social studies.

I often promote the basics like vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar because I believe this will help build confidence and open doors to other disciplines like science, math, and history. But, I strongly believe in keeping classes fun and dynamic. So, I ask a lot of questions to encourage more talk time for you, helping you to relax and learn in a way that best suits your personality. I provide a safe, caring space for you to try new things with language. Whether it's casual conversation, business English dialogue, or preparing for a presentation or job interview, I can help you add to and refine the skills you already have and increase your fluency.
