I was a public school teacher for fifteen years, and I love teaching people about my culture and language. I am eager to learn about you and where you are from, and to help you become fluent in English!
Some of my interests include: listening to all kinds of music, and playing music alone or with my friends. I play the saxophone, guitar, drums, bass, and mandolin. I've played jazz, bluegrass, punk rock...If you are a musician, we will definitely have a lot to talk about! Some other topics that I'm interested in are philosophy, meditation, science, history, world events, anime, video games, computer science, web development, hiking and camping, food and cooking, and coffee.

My teaching style is to build rapport with students quickly, and to help them advance their language learning through natural, casual conversation. I have taught grammar, writing, and reading in the past, and I can give my students instant feedback on their English that they can apply to conversations right away.
