Hi, I'm Jon, and I'm here to help you build confidence with your speaking skills in English. Ideally, I would like to work with students for either everyday, their workplace or with their business English skills. I am able to work with students of all levels, but ideally I would prefer students with an intermediate level or higher, as I can give more value. I am a retired Financial Services Consultant, who teaches English as part of my own personal language journey.
After a successful career in the UK working as a Financial Services Consultant, I retired to Spain 6 years ago. As well as learning Spanish, I have also been volunteering in my local community helping English language learners to improve their skills by running a conversation group for English learners of all levels. For the last year, I have also starting teaching at a local academy, children 11 to 18.

I prefer to have a relaxed, patient and friendly environment to allow students to feel as comfortable as possible while practicing speaking. I believe that a stressful environment doesn't help with learning and often leads to students making mistakes and harming their confidence. I provide feedback and guidance on their grammar, language structure and pronunciation, and sessions will be tailored to the student's aims and goals, from simple practice to exam preparation or focus on a particular topic.
