Hello! My name is Suzie from NYC. When we work together, it isn't "work." Oh, sure, you will learn, and do, and think - but it will be fun! I have been a teacher for decades! My tricks and tools and recipes and other materials are interesting and help you understand and learn new skills - and LIKE it! In addition to teaching, I am a costumer and make fantastic hats, too. I go to events with a lot of art. I travel and have taught all over the world. I am an accent reduction / speech specialist - whether you want to just talk or work on your pronunciation.
I'm eclectic, energetic, and effervescent. My interests and experiences are expansive and engaging. I will be interested in YOU, too. Look at all those vowels. I've taught in countries including China, Bhutan, Turkey and have had clients from all over the world. My experience in academic, business, tech, and government English is extensive.

The "boring" stuff first: I use the communicative approach with student interests and abilities in mind. A more down to Earth answer to my teaching style is: I teach the whole student, not just the subject This means integrating all sorts of topics in order to keep interested, engaged, and moving towards goals. I live by, "the answer is 'no' unless you ask" and "It's not right, it's not wrong, it's just 'different'" I hope you will ask me lots of questions.
