Hello! My name is Serena and I am originally from the United States but I have been travelling and spending time with my family in different parts of the globe for the past few years. I love teaching. I love helping others communicate. I love helping bridge gaps. Due to this, I have been teaching in various areas since 2013. These ten years I have learned many things and how to adjust to different learners. I cannot wait to help you on your English learning adventure so that you can encourage someone else. I love anything creative! That is probably why I use so many different creative strategies while I teach. Let's talk about the things that you like. Let's talk about swimming, or trekking. Let's talk about dancing or cooking. Let's talk about traveling. Let's talk about watercolour painting or photography. I love all of these things, too, and many more things.

I love to use games and songs to supplement learning. I also fully believe that normal day to day conversation and working on comprehension in your target language is a huge key to success. Reading and speaking are both very important. Using small passages and having a normal conversation based off of what we have read is another tool I like to use. Then, having fun with the information is always important! As much as possible, we can throw a simple game in to practice getting rid of any nerves. Mistakes will always be made when we learn anything. Let's embrace them :)
