Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am an 180-hour TEFL certified teacher. I have been teaching English face-to-face and online for more than 10 years. I enjoy teaching English online because it allows me to meet new people and learn about their cultures while giving me the flexibility to travel to different countries. Before being an English teacher, I worked for many years as a therapist/psychologist. I have worked with both adults and children in both individual and group formats in a variety of settings. During my English classes, I always explain everything in an easy-to-understand, low-pressure, relaxed format. My classes are creative, interactive, valuable, and filled with purpose.
I love having a positive impact on the lives of others. Traveling brings me joy. I love experiencing different cultures as well as meeting people from all walks of life. There are so many beautiful, diverse cultures and people; I want to experience as much as possible in this life. Food is also a big deal to me. I am a dedicated foodie.

My teaching style is relaxed, while still maintaining a laser focus on identified goals of language learning. I believe in focusing on meeting the student where he/she is and building language skills from there. Initially, I like to gather information regarding goals and desired outcomes from the student regarding language learning. From there, I like to focus on making sure that the student has a certain level of comfort. I am patient and encouraging which is key when creating an environment of comfort for any language student. I have the ability to make sure that the student stays focused on the task at hand, while still experiencing a fun, creative, and interactive session.
